Hello,

I work on a project of QOS on network WAN using CBWFQ, I have already to begin the implementation on certain routers 3640, by creating class using access-list and to assign percentage to them. However I encounter some difficulties , this is why I would like to have your assistance for any information or useful document.

The big problem is how to define the percentage. currently I use the observations of the users to adjust the values, so is there a way to evaluate my policy and to be able to define the percentage most optimal.

It would be good if you measure the traffic a while BEFORE you make any decisions about the percentage.

Use for example Netflow to see your networks traffic patterns baseline. This should be done under relativelly long time (a couple of month, definetivelly not 1-2 days). Then you can make decisions about the traffic percentage. Because the traffic patterns in network can change it would be good to continue monitor it even after imlementation.
