SNMP manager question

According to this, I can configure a router to be an snmp manager. I turned it on and sent some snmp traps its way, but no logging is displayed. Is there any useful application for this then? Or am I doing something wrong?

This is the snmp manager running on the router managing local snmp clients, i.e. POS card. The snmp manager function receives snmp requests from the NMS, interprets them and collects the requested info from the various clients. Then it builds an snmp reponse to send back to the NMS, which in turn displays alarms (traps).
