Noise in conferences between different Regions

When we stablish a conference where one of the participants is in another region (so it has to speak G729)after around 2 minutes of conference the person of the other region hears a lot of noise during 10 s. We have checked it is not a problem of QoS.

We have for each site a transcoder defined and we have only one resource for conference placed in the Call Manager in the central site.

Do you know the reason?

Are you using the PVDM2 modules in a 2800 or 3800 series router for conferencing? I would upgrade to the latest release of 12.3(14)T software, earlier versions had problems with noise when transcoding and conferencing.
