Now i have to implement PIX 501 as per following scene.


presently sysmaster is directly connected to internet. Now i would like to know :-

1) whether with 501 we can do it?

2) How would i access the sysmaster from outside?

3) i have to register the sysmaster with the carrier. how can i do it while PIX is there?

Hi


If u place the pix in between the sysmaster and the internet world u need to go for NAT in the pix F/W.

in that you need to configure the inside interface where ur sysmaster will get connected and the outside interface where ur interne connectivity will get connected.

Again in pix F/W u need to allow/permit the required ports which is reqd for the sysmaster or voice master to communicate.

also better to check whether the sysmaster really works with the masked ip..
