Hi,
I have a Cisco 2811 gateway with a NM-16ESW-PWR.
I have to power 20 IP Phones. So I plan to add a HWIC-4ESW-POE=.
Does the AC IP Power supply provide enough power for 20 IP Phones ?
It should be ok because AC IP Power povides 160W in the 2811. So 160W/20=8w, which is enough for 7940/7960.
But, I can't find an answer on the CCO. I would like to be sure of that.
Thanx,
Bastien

Hi
The Etherswitch module which comes with Optional POE feature can power up Cisco IP Phones and WAPs.
It does support all 802.3af compliant devices..
for more info on the same do refer this link ..

Thank you for your answer.
But it was not really my question.
I would like to know if the 2811 AC IP power supply provides enough power for connecting 20 ip phones 7940/60.
Do you know if it is possible ?
Thanx
