How do I test a new PRI to make sure I can actually place calls outbound?
BACKGROUND:
We currently have 3 PRIs installed on our 3660 for inbound and outbound calls. Last night I plugged a new PRI to make 4 and configured the 3660 like so:
controller T1 3/0
framing esf
linecode b8zs
pri-group timeslots 1-24 service mgcp
description Local T1
interface Serial3/0:23
no ip address
no logging event link-status
isdn switch-type primary-4ess
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn bind-l3 ccm-manager
no cdp enable
I went in to call manager and added the route group:
Then added the gateway.
I basically mimicked the configs that were already in place.
Now that everything is configured how to I test that specific PRI?

Create a route pattern specific to your cell phone. For the Gateway or Route List select that pri you just added.

Hi,
You'll better create a new Routegroup with only that gateway and put that RG in a new Route List.
Then create a test pattern like 8855.! pointing to that new routelist.
just use a 2,3,4 or 5 digit number that is free to use...
