PIX VPN-PPTP & IBM iSeries access for Windows connectivity issue

Hi,

We have a running PIX firewall configured for VPN PPTP access. The VPN connection works fine on any application when remote VPN users are connected to our private network. This includes SNA client software on the remote users try to access the IBM AS400 server.

The issue is remote VPN users cannot access the IBM iSeries server using 520 imulator.

Attached is the PIX running config and error message from 520 imulator.

any feedback will be highly appreciated.

If the symptom for the error is an IBM iSERIES server with a Fibre Channel disk HBA (Model 2766) requires the F-port mode to be configured in the MDS switch in order to bring up the attached MDS switch port. The issue can be resolved For IBM iSERIES sever with Fibre Channel disk HBA (Model 2766), set the MDS switch port mode to F-port instead of using the default auto-mode.
