Hello Francesco,

the BRI interface by default is a multipoint interface, whereas dialer interfaces are point-to-point. So when you configure the physical BRI interface with dialer map statements like this:

dialer map ip 192.168.1.1 name Remote1 broadcast 123

dialer map ip 192.168.1.2 name Remote2 broadcast 456

etc., you can connect multiple sites to the same interface. If you use dialer interfaces instead like here:

interface Dialer1

dialer remote-name Router1

dialer string 123

!

interface Dialer2

dialer remote-name Router2

dialer string 456

the interfaces are point-to-point connections...

Is that what you are looking for ?

GP
