We currently have a brand new router at our office that will be used in conjunction with CallManager 3.3 to integrate GSM cellular telephony in our data network. I'm looking for a configuration example to configure the router.

this is the way we have the equipment installed:

<cellular network>----(Licea-GSM SIM CARD equipment)-->FXS(ROUTER)--(IP CAMPUS NETWORK)

The router show version is as follows:

R_VOICE_GSM#sh ver

Cisco IOS Software, 2801 Software (C2801-IPVOICE-M), Version 12.3(14)T6, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

ROM: Cisco IOS Software, 2801 Software (C2801-IPVOICE-M), Version 12.4(5), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)

R_VOICE_GSM uptime is 1 minute

System returned to ROM by power-on

System image file is "flash:c2801-ipvoice-mz.123-14.T6.bin"

Cisco 2801 (revision 5.0) with 116736K/14336K bytes of memory.

Processor board ID FTX0949D1UU

2 FastEthernet interfaces

4 Voice FXS interfaces

DRAM configuration is 64 bits wide with parity disabled.

191K bytes of NVRAM.

62720K bytes of ATA CompactFlash (Read/Write)

Configuration register is 0x2102

2 FastEthernet interface

4 Voice FXS interfaces (VIC 4FXS/DID)

I had some problems with the configuration because when I put:

#sh voice port

there is no results. Maybe because the 4Fxs/did Card hasnt been recognized by the router.

I have tried upgrading the 2801 with the follow IOS:

Cisco IOS Software, 2801 Software (C2801-IPVOICE-M), Version 12.4(5), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3)

But I had the same results.

What do I have to dO?

Can you help me with some configuration?

Thanks in advanced.

Do you see the port (voice-port x/y) on the running config ?

Also paste a sh voice port summary. Since it shows up on the sh version, i assume you have DSP chips installed on the router. Does the GSM SIM card equipment expect dial tone from the router ?

Thisisshanky,

Thanks for your reply.

I found something obvious: there is no response when I put SH RUNN.

IT IS BECAUSE THE ROUTER DOESNT HAVE A PDVM MODULE INSTALLED.

here is teh sh ver:
