bri mgcp backhaul with ccm 4.1(3)

Hello guys,

I tried to configured a BRI interface on a 1760 as an MGCP GW with the CCM 4.1(3) but it doesn't work. Everything looks fine, the "sh ccm-manager" shows that I'm registered with the right CCM, I also can see that the BRI endpoint is registered on the GW page on CCMADMIN.

The problem is located on the ISDN bri connection: the Layer 2 is TEI_ASSIGNED.

When I remove the ccm-manager binding on the bri interface, the layer 2 comes up and the state is MULTIPLE FRAME ESTABLISHED. And as soon as I reenter the "isdn bind-l3 ccm manager service mgcp" command, the layer 2 state changes to TEI_ASSIGNED. Here is my config (very simple):

As the bri connection works fine without the ccm-manager l3 binding, I don't think it's caused by the Telco.

Thanks for your help

hi,

firts do not add the "application mgcpapp" command to voice dial peers that support BRI backhaul.

seems to be an ios issue. try it with 12.4. ios image.

greetings

Hi,

I was the IOS image. None of the 12.3(11) worked, but with a 12.3(14) it works fine.

Strange, because according to Cisco, 12.3(11) should work.

Thanks

Thank you for posting your solution. Our 2811 was running 12.3(11)T5 and had the same problem with a PRI on a VWIC-1MFT-T1. Debug of ISDN q921 showed state as TEI_ASSIGNED. Upgraded to 12.3(14)T6 and state changed to MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED.

Thanks again.
