Hi everyone
Forgive me if this is a simple question.
I am the unix engineer at our site and have been requested to audit the lan connections on a couple of p-series servers for a customer. Is it possible from a cisco 3750g to see the mac address of a servers lan card (in this instance the p-series) that is connected to a particular switchport ?
Thanks in advance
steven

Hi Cosmin,
I don't think you can change a rating once it's been submitted. Or at least I don't know how to do it :-)

Hi Steven,
On the 3750, you can use the command
"show mac-address-table dynamic interface [mod/port]"
for example:
switch_5#show mac-address-table dyn interface fa0/2
Mac Address Table
------------------------------------------
Vlan Mac Address Type Ports
---- ----------- ---- -----
2 0005.dc92.e000 DYNAMIC Fa0/2
Total Mac Addresses for this criterion: 1

Bobby,
I'm sorry, I did a mistake by rating your response not helpful. Please let me know how I can turn it into very helpful.
