Concentrator 3000 OSPF

Hi all,

We are having a bit of a problem with our concentrator 3000.

Version details:

Cisco Systems, Inc./VPN 3000 Concentrator Version 4.7.2.B Oct 04 2005 05:10:52

The concentraor is currently on our OSPF area 0.0.0.0

We would like to move it to a different area so that we can route summarise (There are about 1000 routes in area 0.0.0.0, and the concentrator can't handle it)

The problem is that when the concentrator won't let us change its OSPF area!

I have created the new area in Config/System/IP Routing/OSPF Areas

but when I try to remove the area 0.0.0.0 entry it fails with a

"Error deleting OSPF Area (Configuration Lock)" or a "Error deleting OSPF Area (General Error)" depending on how it's feeling.

I tried leaving the 0.0.0.0 area in there, and changed the router it is attached to to the new area, but the Concentrator does not recieve the new routes (I know the new area is working because I have another router recieving them OK)

When it doesn't work and I change it back, the concentrator just sits there with an empty routing table, and we are forced to reboot it before it recieves the area 0.0.0.0 routes again.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Nick

I you have to disable OSPF in order to change the area.

Aaaaah!

Cool I will give that a go when I can arrange downtime :)

Thankyou!
