Hi,

My pix device config is not getting archived in CiscoWorks RME after upgradation of device from version 6.3 to 7.0.

Prior to upgrade the device config was getting archived properly.

My CW version details are given below.

CiscoWorks Common Services with SP2

Resource Manager Essentials 3.5

Resource Manager Essentials Incremental Device Support 3.5

RME3_5_IDU -13_0 Resource Manager Essentials 3.5 Incremental Device Update 13.0 (latest version)

Configuration Archive 3.5

Configuration Archive Device Support for the PIX Firewall 1.4

Do I have to install some new package/patch for the PIX config to get archived ?

Regards

Vijay

This looks like CSCsb89594:

RME does not work for PIX with multi context feature enabled

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be fix for it.

Thanks for your reply

Currently the pix has the following features licensed.

-----------------------------------------------

Licensed features for this platform:

Maximum Physical Interfaces : 10

Maximum VLANs : 100

Inside Hosts : Unlimited

Failover : Active/Active

VPN-DES : Enabled

VPN-3DES-AES : Enabled

Cut-through Proxy : Enabled

Guards : Enabled

URL Filtering : Enabled

Security Contexts : 2

GTP/GPRS : Disabled

VPN Peers : Unlimited

This platform has an Unrestricted (UR) license.

-------------------------------------------------

However when I check the mode status I get the following output.

-------------------------------------------------

fw# sh mode

Security context mode: single

-------------------------------------------------

The multicontext feature is not being used so will the CSCsb89594 bug apply to this situation.
