Hi,

I was wondering if cisco devices, routers, asa etc... can sync with an external NTP server and then also play for NTP server for other devices?

Regards,

Hi Andy,

I'm pretty sure that's what happens by default. The device will be synced to whatever NTP server you have configured and it will, in turn, act as an NTP server for clients pointing to it.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Are you sure?

I'am trying it now with an ASA device, ain't working.

maybe I need to configure ACL's to allow NTP to the ASA?

Regards,

It works with routers; not sure if it does with the ASA. Are you coming in from the inside or outside interface ?
