Hello,
we have sometime CiscoIPPHoneError #6 when pushing to IP Phone and have had this error each time on a 7961.
This error is not documented by Cisco even in Cisco IP Phone Services Application Development Notes v5.0.
Do you have the same issue ? Do you know what this error means ?

As far as I recall, this error should not occur. It used to, but it shouldn't any more. The fact that you're getting it on the 7961 (which is fairly new), in addition to the other problem you posted regarding the 7961, would suggest that these are 7961 bugs that should be followed up with Cisco...

At a high level this refers to an internal error in the phone. Basically, a firmware bug is possible here, or the interaction of your service. Typically it is indicative of just the phone not being able to cleanly handle some error condition.

It seems that last time, this error was due to the fact that the Authenticate Url was pointing to an Authenticate Proxy which have been uninstalled. After a while with the same configuration we got #4 (authenticate) error and after fixing Authenticate Proxy no more #6 ...
