I have two 3750s connected by a dot1q trunk and a switchport access link (see Visio attachment). I want all vlan traffic except vlan 100 to route through the trunk and only vlan100 to route through the switchport access link. Will this configuration work? Ive included the switch configs.

If you require Layer2 COS markings present in the frames then yes this would be better.

Hi,
Your config looks fine and it should work.

Just one thing you can do to verify this: enter 'show interface trunk' on the 3750s to make sure that VLAN 100 is not being passed over the trunk links.
Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Paresh,
Would it be better to make the switchport access vlan 100 link a dot1q trunk and prune all but vlan 100 off of it?
Thanks
