Folks,
I have recently installed common services 2.2 and RME 3.0 on a unix box, could someone please help me out. What should i add to the router config to get cisco works start doing network discovery? please help me.

For network discovery, you need Campus Manager installed which use CDP for this purpose.

Discovery also requires successful SNMP communication between the CiscoWorks server and the routers / switches.

The router should contain the following - depending on how much you want to do. You can do software upgrades w/ the RW strings - without them, you cannot:
basic would be this
-----------------------
snmp-server community xxxxxx ro
snmp-server community xxxxxx rw
(remember - the CW database credentials must match these values)

More - in addition to above:
--------------------------
snmp-server trap enable (environment, port, location, system-shutdown, etc...)
snmp trap host x.x.x.x string
logging x.x.x.x
