Hi all,

I try to understand what is the different between 7825I and 7825H. I read through the Cisco Doc... cant find any different. All MCS78x5 has I and H... I couldnt tell the different also. Anyone know what is different??

Also, I have old MCS 7825 with P4 3060MHz, 1.0G memory. After upgrade from 3.3 to 4.1, the memory is running really low. Can I upgrade add 1.0G memory to make it 2.0G memory?? I think it should not be any problem, just want to confirm.

Another question is that i know MCS 7825 is HP DL 380 G2, can I order memory from HP instead of Cisco?

Thanks a lot!!!

Ken

Ken,

Obviously you know that I is an IBM server, while H is a HP server. There may be some IBM specific or HP specific feature that is unique to each hardware, but basically both servers should be of nearly similar specs. For ex: the following shows the specs for 7825 H1 and I1. (not H and I). I am sure the older generation H and I's are also similar in specs.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/voiceapp/ps378/products_data_sheet0900aecd801c12d2.html

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/voiceapp/ps378/products_data_sheet0900aecd801c12e3.html

You can definitely add more memory and you can buy this directly from IBM or HP.
