T.37 Off-Ramp dial-peers match voice & fax ?

I am a little confused. How, using dial-peers do you distinguish between an outgoing voice call (to PSTN destination) and an outgoing fax call (to PSTN destination) ? A call with a destination-pattern matching 9T for example, could be for a voice destination or a fax destination couldn't it ?

Are you supposed to get users to use a specific prefix in the "faxphone=xxx" statement to distinguish it as a fax call (so you can match it to a MMOIP) ?

Or can you assign an ANI or equivalent via Unity communication to then be able to distinguish fax destinations at the gateway ?

Or am I missing the point here ? It's just that in the configuration examples, it appears they use either 1 specific external fax machine number, or a wildcard that would match more than just external fax destinations.
