bpdu guard errdisable-timeout interval

Hi,

Hope anyone can verify if my understanding is correct:

when portfast is enabled on a switch port, and someone connects a hub/switch to this port.

With bpdu guard enabled, the port will be disabled. if errdisable-timeout interval is configured and the port timeout interval is up, it will enable the port. However, if the hub/switch is still connected to the switch port, the switch port will be errdisabled again until the switch port does not receive any bpdu?

Thanks.

I think you are correct, the feature will be acting at all times, even after you recycle the interface or the timeout expire.

"When STP BPDU guard disables the port, the port remains in the disabled state unless the port is enabled manually. You can configure a port to reenable itself automatically from the errdisable state"

HTH,

rate my post if it does.
