I was wondering can help me with this error message or point me to a document on CCO that goes into detail about the boot process of a SUP720 running code 12.2(18)SXD4.

The boot variable for both supervisors do not have any statemets pointing to slavesup-bootflash: etc....

  • Cisco Employee,

slavesup-bootflash: is the standby supervisor's sup-bootflash:

So the configuration is automatic and will not reflect in the bootstring.

However, it looks like there is a typo in the filename:

s71033-jk9o3sv-mz.122-18.SXD4.bin

should read

s72033-jk9o3sv-mz.122-18.SXD4.bin

HTH,

Bobby
