I am installing two 4402-50s, one at each of my sites(5 mi apart), and I want the APs at each site to join their respective WLC. However, my A/Ps DHCP into the bulding subnet but the WLC MGMT I/F is in a different subnet. Documentation seems to say only to solutions are DHCP opt 43(rather not go there) or create a DNS record in my DNS server matching the generic WLC name(CISCO-LWAPP-CONTROLLER.localdomain)to my WLC MGMT I/F IP address. But, I can't have two DNS records like this, with the same name but the IP address of the MGMT I/F of the two different WLCs? I would very much appreciate any thoughts on this or other ways you may have solved this problem.
