I highly doubt that this is the case. 3560 is recommended replacement of the 3550s which were annouced as EOL last year and their EOS just passed (May 2, 2006).
You would want to go for a 3750 if you want to utilize the stacking capability of this switch which makes upto 9 3750s work as one logical switch. If you do not require the 3750 stacking functionality I believe going for 3560 is the right choice. Unless you hear directly from someone from Cisco that the 3560 is going to be EOS soon I think Cisco are going to sell it for another 1.5 - 2 years and support it even longer.
