dear networking experts,
My name is aditya and i am working on a project of campus connectivity.
My problem is connection between SFP fiber optic module fitted in cisco 3570 switch and WS-5486 LX module in cisco 2950 switch.While at the 3750 side line protocol is up where as at the 2950 side it is showing down.I have tried the port
autonegotition option.could line protocol go down because of termination losses.

Yes, line protocols can go down due to termination losses.

You would need to look at the fiber budgets of the given gbics and see if the levels fall within those . You would need a fiber meter to measure the light levels and the length of the fiber.
