password recovery of 7609

I am facing a problem while recovering the password of 7609. When router goes to Romon mode after pressing break key and i configure

confreg 0x2142

reset

boot

it doesnt bypass NVram

attached herewith is the show version output of the router

i really need it urgently

From u r output u r config-register value is still 0x2102.

can u try this

config-register 0x2142

then do a reload

yes u r right but i did this experiment but as i told that after configuring this 0x2142 value it doesnt by pass nvram. i took this show version output before configuring its config-register value

it is giving me some boot error

Try typing 'config-register' then 'return' and follow the prompts hitting 'return' until you get to the nvram line, type 'n' then complete the options with 'return', save the change and reload, this should bypass the config.
