7305 CDN Scalability Limitations

Does anyone know how many Content Engines a 7305 configured as a CDM can support. I've seen conflictiong reports from 750 - 1400!

I currently have 520 CEs on my system and I'm noticing a serious slow-down.

The whole network is runnning ACNS 5.3.3.
