Hi P Venkatesan,

When you state that the mac acl is not working on the 45k switch - does that mean to say that the config has been applied and the switch has therfore accepted the config but it doesn't work?

There is perhaps an alternative to mac based acl's. It is referred to as 'Port Security'. Take a look at this url:

Hi Ajaz,

Thanks for your reply, but the same acl's is working on 2950 switch.

I cant use the port security, because i have implemented the dot1x authentication.

(Port security and 802.1X port-based authentication cannot both be configured on the same port: )
