Error: Secure VPN connection terminated locally by client

Unanswered Question
Jun 2nd, 2006

I've installed VPN Client 4.8.01.0300 on my home PC and receiving this message when attempting to connect to my office network:

Secure VPN connection terminated locally by client

Reason 442: Failed to enable virtual adapter

Any suggestions?

I have this problem too.

Cisco VPN Client tries to create a virtual adapter during the installation, which is by default disabled. When you try to connect to any VPN server and connected it will be enabled.

It seems that you already installed Cisco VPN client without any errors, maybe any software firewall installed at your home PC and denies this virtual adapter creation. Try to disable any firewall at your PC and try to connect. If it is successed, then you need to permit this creation at your firewall. If not, please update!

Please rate if it does!
