Hello, I'm having an issue and wondering if it's by design or actually a bug.

So, if we have a 7936 conference phone. An outside caller dials the conference phone number, we answer it just fine. Another outside caller also dials the confernece phone number, we answer it, the first caller goes on hold and we can speak to the second caller.

Now, we want to join the conference phone, with the first and second caller into one conference call. We go to menu, caller options, join, and nothing happens, the display just goes to the main window. One caller stays on hold, the other caller is active.

The join feature does not work on the 7936, however, the same process does work with our other ip phones (7912, 7941, 7961 and 7970's).

I'm I missing something here?

Thanks Ash

are you able to have both calls on line, then use the SELECT button to select one of the calls, then scroll to the other call and press the JOIN button?

can't join two calls unless they're selected or at least one of them selected, then scroll to the other call and press JOIN.

So we have 4.1(3)sr 3a, what this tells me is they fixed it in 4.1(2), but removed the fix for newer releases?

Hi Ash,

The fixes should be cumulative, so the fixed in version showing 4.1.2 should carry over to 4.1.3sr3.

I looked into this a little further and noticed that this bug is actually associated with the 7935/7936 phone firmware and has been there since at least the 3.0.9 version and carries through the 3.0.10 and into the newest 3.0.11 7936 firmware. If you check out the "Read-me" for 3.0.11 it still shows this "Join" feature not working as an open Bug.

Perhaps you should contact TAC to see if this is actually fixed.

Hope this helps!

Rob
