Spanning a port on a 3548

Can you set a port on a 3548 to Spanning mode?


So i can capture all the data that is going into the switch from one port.


I cant seem to find a command that allows me to make the port a span port.

Hello Mike,


Yes you can. See the example below.


Enable SPAN on interface Fa0/1 to monitor interface FA0/2.

conf t

int fa0/1

port monitor interface Fa0/2

end


Disable SPAN on interface Fa0/1


conf t

int fa0/1

no port monitor interface Fa0/2

end
