HI

Based on this link

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_implementation_design_guide_chapter09186a0080447513.html#wp1043704

I have 2 questions:

1. Do I configure ntp.conf ONLY on the Pub and not the Sub as I heard that the sub automatically picks up time on the Pub so I do not have to modify the ntp.conf on the sub.

2. Anyone play around with the "tinker panic" command? If so, what is the recommend seconds you use?

Thanks

You will need to configure ntp.conf on each server in the cluster or disable NTP and use an alternative method to synchronize the time as described in the following link.

I leave the tinker panic at the default as you normally will not see an offset greater than 1000 seconds.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

1/ correct, you only need to configure ntp.conf on the Publisher, if you install a Subscriber it will have the ntp.conf configured to sync on the Publisher......

just open the file to check!

c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\ntp.conf
