Volume in Voicemail

I have a Unity 4.0(4) server integrated with Exchange 2003 for Unified messaging. One user reports that he has been getting voiemails at an inaudible tone; I checked his profile settings and did not find anything. Is there a setting to adjust the volume of the recorded object? No one else seems to have this problem but him, but I wanted to see if it could be changed.

Hi -

The volume depends upon how the user is listening to the voice message:

1. If using ViewMail and playback to PC speakers, several things to check:

- Audio volume properties - make sure Volume is not muted

- PC speaker control volume

- Volume control in Media Master control form

2. If using TUI:

- Handset volume setting on IP phone

- Depending upon your Unity conversation type:

To Change Playback Volume by Phone (Standard Conversation Style)

-----------------------------------------------------

While listening to a message, toggle among these volume settings to adjust the volume of the message:

Press 5 once Increases the volume.

Press 5 again Decreases the volume.

Press 5 again Returns the volume to normal.

-----------------------------------------------------

To Change Playback Volume by Phone (Optional Conversation 1 Style)

While listening to a message, toggle among these volume settings to adjust the volume of the message:

Press 9 Increase the volume.

Press 7 Decrease the volume.

Press 8 Return the volume to normal.

That is the method to change the volume of a single greeting. In the Unity Assistant, the subscriber can adjust the TUI playback volume to Low, medium, or high. This might be another option for your user.

Thanks! Having the user change the volume worked out. He had it set to low on the PCA.
