Sup 720 question

Folks,

We have a Sup 720 in a 7600 series router. We want to use the 2 gig ports in it to pass traffic in our backbone(Gig). Does the architecture all customers to use Sup 720 gig modules to be used for passing heavy traffic (line speed). Does the architecture provide these ports with complete access to the switching backplain so that it can switch or route packets at line speed?

I will surely rate this post.

you better believe it Parwal this baby can do line rate. The only thing you have to watch out for is it is a basic Layer 2 port i.e. it is absolutely guff at QOS. All the other functions are fine but whoa baby on the QOS factors as it is rubbish.

Well to clarify this before the cisco lovers bash me the QOS is rubbish in comparison to the "smart" OSM blades.
