NOpe, no problem. since only one router will be responding to that virtual ip/mac address at any given time. You can use a hub but switch is a better choice since you can do vlan it gives you scability. In case you decided to create more vlan on that router by creating sub-interfaces then all you need is to trunk on the both router and the switch.

Maybe a few specifics to understand why you can use a switch...

HSRP routers send out their "info" packets to a special "all HSRP routers" multicast address (IP and MAC). The switch forwards these frames out all ports belonging to the same VLAN, and end devices that are interested (other HSRP routers in that group) will process it.
