Hi!

I configured port security with maximum 8 dynamic secure adresses per ports on a C6509 switch with IOS (see below the config).

When I configure a new port with port security and connect my (HP) laptop to it the switch locks it/me out with port security violation err-disabling the port in a few seconds.

After the port is err-disabled

I shut down the port and than re-enabled it with the same result.

It happened the same with "clear port-security dynamic" commmand.

It happaned the same with several ports on the switch.

My laptop works good on other (C6509) switches with the same port configuration.

There are several PCs that do the same with this switch!

My port-security configuration on ports:

switchport port-security

switchport port-security maximum 8

switchport port-security aging time 1

switchport port-security violation restrict

switchport port-security aging type inactivity

Please help to overcome this tough problem!

How to connect to this switch keeping port security feature??
