on my router, if I am only dialling one destination, do I just set the connection on my bri interface, whereas if i am dialling 2 destinations I would need to use dialler interfaces, is this correct ?

Carl,

Let me point you in the right direction:

I think the correct terms are "legacy DDR", which associates a single destination with the interface, and "DDR dialer profiles", which lets you dial different places depending on the network you're trying to reach.

Hi,

in my opinion, dialer interface (and dialer pool, of course) is more desirable, for scalability.
