I am curious if anyone has any success stories regarding free, 3rd party captive portals. We are finding the Cisco 4402 limited in it's portal - and are looking towards other software. There's a rather long list of options out there; does anyone use open source alternatives, and do they work well?
Thank you!

I believe "nocat" is pretty popular and has has a good reputation. It's Linux-based, but I believe it has a pretty friendly front-en (I haven't used it, so I can't give you any direct experience, sorry).
If you find something good, please come back and let us know so we can make a good recommendation the next time.
Good Luck
