conn vs xlate

should the ip entried will always be the same in conn and xlate.i think botht willbe the same except for conn there will be port info.

If client is connected to same server via telnet, FTP, and HTTP simultaneously so there are three separate TCP connections between the two devices - it would create a single translation slot (its between PC and server you can check with show xlate) and three connection slots (telnet, ftp, http - check it with show conn). Each connection slot is bound to a translation slot.

i know this before itself. i got a problem from customer and he had send the following

Xlate:

PAT Global 10.32.60.45(1203) Local 10.239.32.49(2228)

Conn:

TCP out 10.80.134.181:3389 in 10.239.32.49:2228 idle 0:00:02 bytes 0

flags

so here i believe that the conn is initited by 10.80.134.181 to 10.239.32.49 with out translation..

The show local-host command is a good command to show the relationship between xlate and connections.
