Hi All,

I have a WAN link of 2 Mbps, on one side of WAN, service provider is providing us the E1 Rj48 Say End "A".

And on other side, provider is giving us E1 BNC connector , Say End "B".

On Side A i used E1( G.703) to V.35 connector, as i have V.35 interface at location A router( cisco 2611) and on B side i used the BNC to Rj48 connector( balun)

( i have E1 Rj48 interface card at Location B.

On side A i have cisco 2611XM router and on side B i have Cisco 1841 router with E1 interface.

When i connect the lines to both sides Alarm was coming on the E1 interface of Location B .

Our provider is saying there is no problem in the Line and when Provider take loop from end to end Alarm light goes off.

Could any one suggest me if some thing is wrong in the configuration.

I would appreciate any suggestion for solving my trouble.

Thanks

It is good that the E1 is up. You can follow the link that have some exmaples.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1828/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080087328.html

However, please ensure the FRAMING, LINE CODE & CODE SOURCE is correct. You can those information from the PTT.

After to configure the conrtoller, you have to config. the serial.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Jack,

My problem has been resolved,

After changing the channel-group unframed , encapsulation of Serial interface was changed to HDLC so i changed back to PPP and all the things goes well. Thank you very much for your kind support and help.

You are welcome. It is great that you solved the problem. ;)
