FWSM 3.1.1 slows down Windows RIS

Hi all

we recently upgraded our FWSM from 2.x to 3.1.1 and run into a problem.

We setup our computers via the Microsoft RIS service which uses TFTP to transfer the files and probably also Netbios while doing the setup.

We could still setup the PCs, but it was around 10 times slower!

A 5 MB file needed probably around 5 minutes to transfer.

The problem only occured on VLANs protected by the FWSM and when the server and client are in different VLANs.

After disabling the new TFTP and Netbios inspection rules with CSM (which didn't exist in the 2.x software) is RIS now running correct again.

Did I run here into a bug?

I think that this issue is due to cpu utilisation will be more after upgrading to FWSM 3.1.1 when inspection rules are turned on.Try by turn off the inspection rules and do the TFTP using windows RIS.
