Error Configuring Interfaces for 5.x Sensors

It seems my certificate just expired, so when i try configuring sensing interfaces for 5.x sensors i get the following error:

Object loading failed. An error occurred trying to get the interface information. An error occurred while trying to determine the sensor version. Detail = java.security.cert.CertificateException: Untrusted Server Certificate Chain

What are the procedures to do so.

Thanks,

First, check the date/time on your sensor. If it is off you can get that message.

The problem is that x.509 certificate is expired and i have no idea how to renew it.

For 5.x sensor, through IDM:

Configuration > Sensor Setup > Certificates > Server Certificate

click Generate Certificate

For 4.x sensor, through IDM:

Device > Sensor Setup > Certificate > Generate Host Certificate

click Apply to Sensor

Afterwards, you may need to update the information that IPS MC has on record for the sensors. Through IPS MC:

Devices > Certificate Management

select the sensor from the side TOC

click Query to update, and Apply to save
