show interfaces link on 6509?

I am trying to find out how long a port is being active on a 6509. I can issue show interfaces link on a 4506 but not on a 6509. Any ideas?

Yes, the "show interfaces link" command is supported in Catalyst 4500 Series only, this command displays how long a cable has been disconnected from an interface. This command is not supported in Catalyst 6500 series, you may check out the Catalyst 6500 command reference for more information :

if you are using CatOS in your 6509 then the 'show interfaces' is not available.

you must use the 'show port ....' command at the CLI of the switch. (not the msfc cli)

6509 with IOS does support the 'show interface' command.
