Catalyst 4500 series Line card 4524G-24 POE

Hi Pros,


Please help me to solve the below issue


- The POE line card module 4524 in the 4510R switch is not suppling the power to the Cisco phone (cp-7912G) and AIR-1230B wlan access point.

I already tried #hw-module power to enable the module and slot and #power inline auto to the specific interface.But still the module POE LED is off.

Could you give me the steps to bring the module POE enable. Now for timebeing using 3550 POE switch.

Are you saying POE module is off?

Perhaps first you should check if your IOS version supports this module. Can you post the output from "sh ver" and "sh mod" ?

I had gone thro the datasheet for 4500 series power supply and found that the 1400Watts AC is for data only not included POE. 1300, 2800 supports both Data and POE.
