Traces for troubleshooting echo

Unanswered Question

Hello all,

I am trying to figure out better ways to troubleshoot echo given the fact that I am being provided with the calling/called party numbers as well as time of day. the Q931 translator doesnt seem to be of any use (as i am trying to determine if maybe its a bad channel on the voice PRI). I know how to use the show commands to see what channel the call is using DURING a call, but where, if anywhere, would i be able to bring that info up after the fact.

What traces should be enabled, etc.

TIA.

Best,

JG

Also, on your gateway you can do 'sho call history voice brief' to reveal which port the call was delivered to the PSTN on. Call history is retained for up to 15 minutes by default, but this can be changed in IOS gateways. Use 'call-history-mib retain-timer ' to increase the time information is kept in history. The max number of entries can be increased (up to 500) using 'call-history-mib max-size '. Both are global config commands.
