CUE:auto attendant, DialbyExtn gives ext. out of service??

Running CUE 2.2.1 integrated with CCM 4.21. Intermittently when outside caller chooses to dial by extension in Auto Attendant, CUE responds with "that extension is out of service"

I do not know where to start in how to find out why CCM and CUE think a valid extension is SOMETIMES out of service. Does anyone have any ideas??

Is the DN it's trying to reach registered? CUE simply does a local lookup (on CUE) for the configured extension (regardless of the state of that DN). Then it attempts the transfer via JTAPI (assuming the CCM link is up) where it will get some status back (busy, invalid, unsuccessful). To be sure, you'd have to turn on the jtapi traces on CUE to see what it's getting back.
