WCCP in 4507R

Hi ,

I'm trying to configure 4507R ( 12.2(31)SG )to run WCCP as shown in the attachments.

1- I enable WCCP globally

2- In users VLAN redierct HTTP in .

3- In bluecoat configuration is

wccp enable

wccp version 2

service-group web-cache

forwarding-type l2

password cisco

home-router X.X.X.X ( L3 port IP in 4507R).

interface 0

end

I got the following error

4d02h: WCCP-EVNT:S00: Here_I_Am packet from 10.25.50.1 w/bad rcv_id 00000000

Hi,

Looks like the I_SEE_YOU packets never reaches ProxySG. Perhaps you have a

local firewall dropping the packets?

WCCP is using UDP port 2048 for the control channel.

Then be sure that the ip of

wccp router is correct.

Then try without:

forwarding-type l2

password cisco

and see the doc at

Thank Andera ,

1- There is no firewall

2- I can Managet the Bluecocat from Users VLAN .

3- I tried with no password but no luck.

4- Cat4507R does not support GRE that is why I'm using forwarding-type l2 .
