i know according to cisco any modified policy of CSA is not supported, but then it says they also support Insight mgr on their HP servers (7825's). However we can't get Insight to run properly unless we disable the headless version of CSA on the servers. Has any one here came across this? if so, how did you solve this quagmire?

What version of CCM, CSA, and Insight Manager are you running on your 7825? There's a doc outlining the third party apps that can run on CCM boxes here.

It states that CSA users must download the latest CSA policies before installing any of the third-party platform agents.
Check the latest version of CSA for your CCM version in the compatibility matrix. Some of the known caveats in CSA's release notes do mention Insight Manager.

Insight - not sure...but the version we have is officially supported by cisco. i have already checked into that.
we just couldn't get insight to play nicely w/ csa.
