Difference between LAN BAse Image and Enhanced Image

Can you tell me the difference between switches with LAN Base Image and Switches with Enhabced Image. I want to run HSRP and OSPF on two switches. Can I use LAN Base Image with this or is switches with Enhanced Image.

A 2960-24TT-L and 2950-12EI.

These are layer two switches and as such will not support these L3 routing features. You will have to step up to at least a 3560 to do this.

The 2960 series does not have an Enhanced Image, just the standard software with and w/o crypto. The 2950 differences can viewed at the following link.
