Hi. I was reading this documentation about receive rings:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/modules/ps2033/products_tech_note09186a00800d76e5.shtml#backinfo

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_tech_note09186a0080094e92.shtml#memory_overview

and "Inside Cisco IOS Software Architecture"

And the explanation about the receive ring is not clear for me.

Are the receive rings buffers (they are a memory region as the private region) or are they a circular linked list? If they are a linked list, where are it pointing, to the interface private/public pool?

Thansks.
