Installing new subsciber

After installing a new subsciber, is it common for all the Cisco services to be set to disabled?

I am not sure if I should start them via the control center after adding it to the cluster, or start them from the command line?

Thanks!

Thats normal. Only DBLayer should be started. All other can be started from Control center (either form pub or from sub).

Chris,

You first have to determine the role for this subscriber, followed by activating the appropriate services on this subscriber, using the Cisco CallManager Serviceability pages (under menu "Tools->Service Activation").

After selecting the server (subscriber) you can "activate" several services, which will be activated and started if you select them (and click on update).

Do not use the Windows Services tool or the commandline to stop/start (CallManager related) services.

Good luck!
